We are glad that you have decided to initiate your child into the Catholic faith. Here at St. Martin Parish we would like to assist you in the preparation of such a beautiful sacrament. To begin the baptism preparation of your child, please follow the procedure below:
1. Parents must submit the following required paperwork.St. Martin holds two baptism preparation classes in-person each month; one in English (in the chapel) and one in Spanish (in the parish office.) Please consult the class schedule in the calendar above. Note: The child must be registered before parents and godparents can take the baptismal class.
In order for the parents and godparents to receive the full benefit of the class, we ask that children not be with you while attending the class. Baptism classes at another Catholic parish are acceptable with a form or letter submitted to St. Martin stating who, when, and where the class was attended. Submit only the original document.
Please take into consideration that both godparents MUST be Catholic and have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation, and who live a life of active faith in the Catholic Church. If married, they must have been married in the Catholic Church.
St. Martin offers Baptism preparation classes every month in both English and Spanish. If you are a parent or future Godparent who will be baptizing a child soon, in a parish other than St. Martin Parish, you are welcome to take the class here.
All you have to do is download the form above and bring it to our parish office 5 days before the scheduled class in order to have your seat reserved.
